The University of Bertoua signed several partnership agreements on Wednesday 21 February 2024. The first agreement links the University to the Centre National d'Etude et d'Experimentation du Machinisme Agricole (CENEEMA). The two parties intend to work together to enable students at the Institut Superieur d'Agriculture du Bois de l'Eau et de l'Environnement to complete their training through mastery of agricultural machinery and other techniques. CENEEMA staff wishing to extend their academic studies in Agro-Sylvo-Pastorale can do so at ISABEE, as the school offers courses up to Doctorate/PhD in Agronomic Sciences and Biological Engineering.
The University has also signed other agreements with a number of organisations, including: the Chamber of Agriculture, Fisheries, Livestock and Forestry (CAPEF). The Agence National d'Appui au Developpement Forestièr (ANAFOR). The AFAN SCOOPS Cooperative. and 11 Communes of the Eastern Region. With these acts, the Rector of the University of Bertoua, Professor Remy Magloire ETOUA, is carrying out the missions prescribed to State Universities by the President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA, and constantly relayed by the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, Professor Jacques FAME NDONGO. These missions are based on three core values: -Research -Teaching -and Development Support. The signing of these partnership agreements is also an application of the provisions of the new law on the Orientation of Higher Education in Cameroon. SIC/UBe
