Rector Remy Magloire ETOUA was awarded the title of Officer of the Order and of Special Merit. This was during the ceremony for the presentation of good wishes on 26 January 2024 to the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education and Chancellor of Academic Orders.

The event was held in amphitheatre 700 of the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Yaoundé1.
